Povitrya Use Agreement

By continuing with registration, the user agrees to the following usage agreement:

Povitrya system software is managed by the Institute of Mathematical Machines and Systems Problems (IMMSP) NAS of Ukraine, while cloud computing infrastructure on which it is installed is managed by the Institute of Theoretical Physics (ITP)NAS of Ukraine.

Use and Distribution Guidelines and Restrictions: Povitrya use, is available at no charge to those individuals (recipients) who have a formal affiliation with one of the institutions engaged in atmospheric sciences or in the provision of atmospheric operational products, and whose credentials we can verify: government, commercial, educational, or non-profit.

Due to limited amount of resources the system requires from the new users registration and approve by the Administrator. It could be not possible for Administrator to approve application when the available resources of the system are exhausted.

The recipient may not knowingly redistribute their account information (username and password) to anyone and shall honor all disclaimers and other limitations of liability.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: THE AUTHORS OF THE SYSTEM AND MANAGING ORGANIZATIONS DOES NOT WARRANT ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF THIS PRODUCT, AND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ERRORS AND OMISSIONS, AND IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES OR LOST PROFIT RESULTING FROM ANY USE OR MISUSE OF THIS INFORMATION. POVITRYA SERVICE IS BEING DISTRIBUTED "AS IS" AND THE AUTHORS AND MANAGING ORGANIZATIONS DOES NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTY CLAIMS, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE POVITRYA SOFTWARE, ITS QUALITY, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, PERFORMANCE, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY INTENDED PURPOSE.

Recipients acknowledge that any products derived from using Povitrya and related meteorological data depend on the configuration of the simulation and may or may not be suitable for their intended application. The correct application of the model and the interpretation of the results is the responsibility of the recipient.

Povitrya model results created by the recipient shall not be presented as official material.

The IMMSP and ITP are not obligated to provide any support, consulting, training, or assistance of any kind with regard to the use of this material.

The IMMSP and ITP will deny access to any user who is found to be abusing the system by using automated methods to request products on it's server in a manner that limits others from obtaining products in a timely manner.

Indemnification: Non-governmental recipients shall indemnify and save harmless the Ukraine and its agents and employees against any and all loss, damage, claim or liability whatsoever, due to personal injury or death, or damage to property of others directly or indirectly due to the use of Povitrya by the recipient, including failure to comply with the provisions of this agreement.

Editing: Any unauthorized editing or alteration of the results of Povitrya system  will result in the termination of the agreement and access to the website.


Availability: Access to Povitrya and it's timely delivery of products from this server through the Internet are not guaranteed.

Citation: The recipient shall provide a citation to Povitrta in any publications, presentations, or other derivative works that result from the use of Povitrya. Examples of such a citation is:
